Idiomatic
佛口蛇心.(Words of a Buddha, heart of a snake.)
右手抄經, 左手殺人. (With your left hand, you would write prayers and with your right, you would kill.)
^ Both of these say essentially the same thing. These speak to two things on my mind at the moment.
ASIDE: My mom took most of the necessary furniture out of my room and so I don’t have a desk lamp, so I’m writing with the ceiling light, which I don’t really enjoy having on (#firstworldproblems). Anyway …
Two things:
- Racial crap.
- Relationship crap.
Racial crap: perhaps it’s because I’ve been away from Mississauga for a few days, but the lack of certain ethnic groups back home is certainly a welcome change for me. I’ve never felt this way. I’ve always been a proponent of the Canadian cultural mosaic and I’ve always stood against racism, but recently, it’s just hit me like a rock. Perhaps it’s a case of what my ENV100 prof calls NIMBY phenomenon, only in terms of ideologies. I don’t know. Whatever! It’s probably a phase. I’ll get over it.
Relationship crap: Nothing to say. Maybe I’ll save it for another post.
